Council of Women of Winnipeg members and federates joined Kristen Bernas, Director of Policy Advocacy, Right to Housing Coalition outside the Manitoba legislature 12:15pm to 1:00pm on Tuesday March 18th,2025. Rally for Social Housing in Budget 2025.

The Manitoba Budget will be released on Thursday. We are demanding investments in social housing with supports as a sustainable solution to homelessness and housing insecurity.  We came together to demonstrate our strong collective support for ending homelessness and housing insecurity. Our great attendance at the rally will show the Manitoba government that this is a priority for our communities and that we will be watching for these investments when the Budget is released this week.
