Come celebrate, as part of the Council of Women of Winnipeg (CWW) 130th year celebrations this past year and in collaboration with TREES WINNIPEG. CWW is planting a tree in Michaelle Jean Park (Formerly, Norquay Park), in Point Douglas, near the Beaconsfield Street site of the first Winnipeg Children’s Hospital.
Annie Bond was President of CWW from 1906-1914 and asked the Winnipeg Council of Women (now Council of Women of Winnipeg CWW) to find a house, established on February 6, 1909.
We would like to invite you to join us for a “Tree Planting Ceremony” 1pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025 in the park, adjacent to the Norquay Community centre, 65 Granville Street.
Refreshments and cake will be served on site.
